The Original Luna, handmade in Seattle, represents the best fruits of our experiences and experiments with old-school footwear and gleanings from insights that we have gathered from both our ancestors and our customers. It uses a 6mm Vibram neoprene sole that is lightweight, comfortable, and has excellent ground feel. This sandal is great for running or walking on paved surfaces and moderate trails. The leather footbed adds comfort, helps it form to your foot, absorbs some moisture, and adds strength to the side holes.

ATS Laces:

The most secure and comfortable lacing is the new ATS (All Terrain Strapping) option. The ATS laces combine the best features of the elasticized laces with the security of traditional lacing.

The ATS lacing has the same ribbon/plug system as our elasticized laces, providing a soft, comfortable webbing for a very secure fit, and elasticized leather around the heel for easy slip on and off. The buckle at the top of the foot allows for easier adjustments thanks to the ability to slide the strap up and down the foot and easily tighten and loosen the the laces without having to retie a knot.
How do I measure my foot?

Stand with your heels against a flat vertical wall. Your heels should be just barely kissing the wall, not pressing into it. Slide a ruler under each foot and measurement from the wall to the tip of your longest toe in centimeters. Take the longer of the two measurements. Then measure the widest part of both of your feet and take the longer of those two measurements as well.

For example, Scott, our Ops Monkey, has feet that measure 29cm by 11.5cm. He added 1/2cm for a little wiggle room and chose a size 11.5 which is 29.51cm by 11.85cm. The size 11.5 fits him perfectly!

* Measurements are in centimeters and are the actual length and width of our sandal sizes. For a little wiggle room, add at least ½ to 1cm to your measurements.
